About Us

Phoenix Psychiatry is based out of East Hartford, and we have four locations conveniently located in Central Connecticut & Southern Massachusetts, and clinicians fluent in English and Spanish. Translators are available if needed for other languages.

The company was started after more than 20 years of providing healthcare services. Phoenix is an opportunity to help patients with mental health disorders and overall well-being. We have always believed that mental health deserves the same attention as physical health, and when your mental health negatively impacts your life, it in turn impacts your physical health. Our compassion for people in their unique situations drives us to provide the best care and therapists in the state.

Services and Specialties

There are many specialized counselors and therapists and below are some of the fields we focus on.

General Therapy

When something causes you distress and begins to interfere with your life, goals, or general happiness, therapy or counseling is often a path that helps identify causes, as well as providing resources to change perspective, cope, or rehabilitate.

Psychiatry

While generally including many talking techniques of general therapy, psychiatry evaluates individuals that may require medical diagnosis and a highly specific treatment protocol, continued treatments, or disorders related to long-term or permanent injuries.

Medication Management

The evaluation and monitoring of outpatient psychotropic medications, potential side effects, patient instruction, and assessment of effectiveness.

Family Therapy

Family group or individualized therapy, specialized in improving communication, understanding, and dynamics affecting the family. Discussing major life changes, trauma, and resolving conflicts in stressful situations are common reasons families participate.

LGBTQ Counseling

Counseling with specialists familiar with issues facing people of diverse genders and sexualities. Your LGBTQ counselor can also help with concerns such as relationship issues, sexual problems, parenting matters, and addiction.

Child & Adolescent Therapy

Children or teens exposed to trauma or who have behavioral or mental disorders can benefit from a specialist to help them improve their skills and understanding.
Subspecialty: Autism Diagnostic Observation Room
