Learn more about our specialists
Throughout a considerable part of my life I have been dedicated myself to the improvement of people’s physical health, and now I am fully equipped with competence and knowledge for the development in a new area. First, I would like to say that I consider myself highly honored to receive an opportunity to help patients with mental health disorders and improve their emotional well-being and life in general. I consider myself a skilled nurse practitioner due to more than 20 years of relevant experience in acute care, advocating for patient needs, and the provision of expert-level health care. The extensive development of diagnostic expertise and a longtime commitment to helping patients helped me improve my personal and professional skills as well as critical thinking, evaluation, attention to small details, and strong analytical skills. I believe that my practice as a PMHNP should be based on understanding, cultural competence, compassion, openness, trust, and respect. Moreover, I perceive my responsibility in not only helping patients but in sharing good practices among other health care providers for the commonwealth of the whole system.
As a nurse practitioner with substantial experience in various areas of medical practice, I was involved in various trauma- and injury-related programs, including Brain Injury Program, Neurological Rehabilitation, Spinal Cord Injury Program, Orthopedics Program, and Stroke Program. I helped patients whose physical health was affected by nerve diseases, neurological disorders, and traumas. At the same time, I have always believed that mental health deserves the same attention, and its significance for people should not be underestimated. That is why I dedicated myself to mental health nursing, and in the present day, I may say that I have almost 15 years of behavioral health experience. I have recently obtained my PMHNP from St. Joseph’s College, and in my new role, I focus on depression, anxiety, panic disorder, ADD, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, insomnia, and culturally competent care for the LBGTQ population. At the same time, I consider myself fully prepared as before the obtainment of this specialty, I have been overseeing the behavioral health population in my community.
As a PMHNP, I see myself responsible for helping and advocating for patients who suffer from mental health disorders that are frequently stigmatized and neglected. I see respectful management of their conditions with understanding, compassion, and particular attention to holistic and patient-oriented care as my primary goal. In addition, I am aware of specific populations whose needs are not addressed due to the absence of knowledge, stereotypes, and prejudice. Thus, I aim to provide high-quality health care delivery to minorities and minimize their obstacles to appropriate and accessible medical help.
In my medical practice, I had witnessed multiple cases when people’s mental health was assessed inaccurately and treated inappropriately. However, instead of being disappointed and passive, I undertook all my efforts to become a competent mental health care provider to demonstrate to patients that their psychological and emotional well-being matters. I am sure that my professional skills, qualification, competence, and experience will benefit others and ensure positive outcomes. In order to fulfill my ambitions and contribute to society’s commonwealth, I am looking to do medication management, therapy, and group therapy at the highest level of quality. I will be glad to have a zoom appointment, however, a face-to-face visit at any of the three locations may be regarded as an excellent option as well. I am sure that I am ready to meet all practice-related challenges and will be able to not only fulfill my ambitions but contribute to the development of the health care system as well.
